Simplexity Practitioner Mastery Class

Workshop for January 23 - 25, 2018 (Tuesday - Thursday)

An opportunity for Simplexity practitioners to elevate their skills to become master craftsmen.

Maximum: 6 participants

Becoming a master Simplexity practitioner takes time, practice, experience. and coaching. For all of us who apply and lead the process in the field, there are segments where we struggle. One common to all is Challenge Mapping, and there are others that different individuals can identify as their special” favorites”.

This Master Class workshop is designed to help accelerate your skills and expertise in applying Simplexity with much more confidence in all areas. It builds on Challenge Mapping as the foundation. It is “the secret sauce” within Simplexity - the unique differentiator which is a not only a hard to achieve competency but also one on which all other skills are built.

In the workshop participants will build their skills through hands on practice with intensive coaching on real problems of their own.

Overview of the Agenda

First half: The goal of the first half of the 3-day workshop is to build challenge mapping mastery including techniques to maximize mapping value and recover from typical Challenge Mapping pitfalls becoming competent at resolving them on the fly.

Second half: The goal of the second half is to build skills and knowledge on other Simplexity process areas defined by participants

Challenge Mapping Specifics

After completing Level II training, we know many people lack confidence in applying Challenge Mapping in the real world. Being proficient in challenge mapping is integral to running successful Simplexity application sessions.  This where the "aha" moment occurs - where the golden nuggets emerge, log jams are broken, the complete picture of the problem emerges, and the team comes together. In this workshop participants will build their skills through hands on practice with intensive coaching.

 Learning Objectives:

·         Better appreciate why and how Challenge Mapping is a critical capability that makes you unique, valuable and equips you with a sought after competitive advantage.

·         Become a true craftsman in performing Why - What’s Stopping? helping teams discover hidden insights and tap into their knowledge.

·         Creatively apply “How might we?” and Why - What’s Stopping? in any situation or purpose.

·         Learn how to develop a strategic roadmap to any challenge

·         Help teams converge with commitment on what’s most important.

·         Understand typical Challenge Mapping pitfalls and become competent at resolving them on the fly.

Additional Simplexity Process Areas specifics

Participants will be asked to share (1) a recent experience that might help the others learn a new application or skill and (2) one thing which they really want help on from the group’s body of experience...This will lead to application “how to apply” sessions throughout to cement learnings from each other’s experiences. Get expert coaching throughout from Simplexity expert practitioners and other fellow practitioners.
